Somewhere..........

"Somewhere a journey
begins at the end
of the worldly existence
we know,
Somewhere a path stretches
over the stars,
and rivers of memories flow...
"Somewhere a silence
is heard far away
and the brightness of day
fills the night,
Where the trials of life
are resolved into peace
--when a soul finds its wayto the light."

I lost my best friend of 1000 years
on 12/28/07
Good Bye
Tommye
I love you....

Wendover, NV Trip 12-04-07

These are some phone pictures I took on Dad and my Wendover Trip this week.
We had a good time, but lots of folks on the plane got very sick, glad we didn't, knock on wood.
The first picture is of my royal flush. The story behind it is I had lost all my gambling money by the second day we were there. So, I went to the ATM machine, only machine that pays every time, and took out a $100.00. I thought, if I lose this, I am off to the room for the next two days. I found this obscure poker machine off to itself in a lonesome corner. I thought, this is where I need to be, a loser in a dark corner. I started playing and on the second plug, I hit 4 of a kind 3"s which pays $100.00! I thought, wow, now I have $200.00, I should quit. Quit? And then do what in Wendover? Go out and gather up cups of salt?? I don't think so, so I kept playing. To make a long story short, after about 2 hours of playing and 8 more 4 of a kinds, up pops a Royal Flush!!! For 1000.00! What a morning!..........I wasn't a loser any longer. And I brought most of it home with me.
Then came time to go home. When we woke up that morning and looked out the window, low and behold it was snowing, heavy snow. I got scared, scared we wouldn't be able to fly home that day. And I was so ready to be home. But, after an hour and a half of sitting on the tarmack waiting to be de-iced, finally all was done and off we went. What a shock to leave a blizzard and come home to 82 decrees. I love Texas.
