My Favorite Things

First Favorite Thing
I got this idea from Jennifer, my cousin. I am gonna post a one of my favorites every now and then when I come accross one. Here is the First one.........TJ's Garden Salsa. It is the best I've ever tasted and you can only get it at one place, and that is Pinkie's Liquor Store on Bryant Street in San Angelo, TX. We put it on everything and in everything. If you are wondering what I am doing in a Liquor store in San Angelo.........well, my Grandson worked there when he was attending ASU. And when we were going thru San Angelo on service calls, we would stop by and see him. This Pinkie's has a deli type store inside and has all kinds of one of a kind foods, some of which I will be adding to my favorites.......

My Swedish Great Grandmother

I found this picture earlier of my Great Grandmother Ida, who came to this country on a boat from Sweden. I believe she was around 79 in this photo taken in 1952. I remember her always telling me to go wing in the wing.........Swing in the swing.....I remember being under her feet all the time. She always had a sweet little smile on her face. She passed away when i was 13 yrs old.

Thanksgiving 2007

A White Thanksgiving for us!

I can't believe we had a heavy snow today, Thanksgiving, but it was beautiful. Huge snowflakes.
It snowed a couple of more inches after I took this picture!

I think I am spoiled........

Otis and I took a trip to Sam's Warehouse over the week end to pick up some needed things.
I absolutely love to go to Sam's and go down every isle checking out all the new TVs and Christmas things. Otis, on the other hand, hates it. I no sooner than got through the entry doors, when low and behold, there they were!! I couldn't believe my eyes, I had to have them, no matter what. Even if it meant doing with out lunch for the next week. So, I grabbed the box of them and started begging Otis.......please, oh please, I want these so bad, if you don't buy these for me, I shall never speak to you again (I didn't really mean it, but it worked). He said OK in a voice I could barely hear, looking around to see if anyone was staring at us. I was so happy, I put them in the basket where everyone could see them and be green with envy. If I was able to skip down the isles, I would have. I was so happy. I got the set of all 3 Shrek Movies, I can't wait to watch all of them. Aren't you jealous???

Laughlin Trip Update

Otis, Dad and I had a really good time. Didn't break any banks, but enjoyed our trip. I love it so much there, and it is beautiful this time of year. In the 70's during the day and oh so clear to see the mountains. I would always wake up 4:30 am Pacific time which is 6:30 am Texas time, it is still dark there and I could look out our hotel window to see the planet Venus shinning so bright. What a sight.
There was a clown convention going on at our hotel. That was fun to see all the different costumes and balloon animals. Plus, we fit right in..........hahaha.
I have a few more pictures to put up, and I will get that done soon as I can.
Have a great day everyone!

My Great Grandbaby.......

Week 11: Just plum cute! Fetal development in pregnancy week 11:fetus in third month Maybe you’ve noticed… your baby is a super-duper grower! Your lil' fetus will be gaining a substantial amount of weight this week and has already achieved fruit-size-status comparable to a plum. What's more, your little scientist is already starting to explore their body, focusing most intently on touching their head, and especially their face and mouth. Their mouth in particular will provide them with hours of entertainment. This happens not only because your baby is gaining coordination, and is therefore able to move a hand on command, but also because their palms have gained sensation and can actually “feel” what it touches. They're also developing their swallow reflex this week. And lastly, your baby's smelling and other olfactory senses will begin developing this week, which when combined with the maturing taste buds, will provide your baby with their first experiences of taste and smell.

What a day...

I have had illnesses before but this by far is my worst. I have coughed and coughed, all night and all day. So, Otis said enough with the coughing, and off to the Judge Ely Clinic to see Trudy.
I recieved a big shot in the butt and antibiotics. She didn't tell me what kind of germ I had, but everyone in the waiting room looked and sounded just like me.
Otis, Dad and I are going to Laughlin Monday, I have to get well. It's just not very much fun laying face down on a slot machine blindly pulling the handle.

The Beginning....

Well, here I am, this is my blog. Thank you Cyndy for showing me your site and inspiring me to do this. It is something I have wanted to do for a long time. Now I have to figure out something interesting to write, which I'm sure I will do very soon.
Check back often, because once I get started, I don't know when to quit....
